A few days ago I took my girlfriends brother and sister to a nearby skatepark. They had been there the day before for a lesson. I wanted to check it out and practice on my skating and they wanted to practice what they had learned, even though we can’t afford another board yet we all just shared my one, not that its in the best condition, but it works.
The park was smaller than I expected, and pretty simple, but for a few newbies it’s all we needed. Not like we were about to do some epic tricks off a ramp or anything haha. The only annoying thing was that some people must have smashed some tiles on the ground as there were little bits of tiles or something like that in various places, if your wheel gets stuck on one its not always fun.
We spent a few hours taking turns, they practiced on their stance and control of the board, and I mostly practiced on my ollies and kickflip. I’ve been trying to land a kickflip for ages now, I have landed a few before , but not very good and not consistently, but for a while now, I haven’t been able to land one. I just keep over flipping the board or not flipping it enough. Help me!
Video is to show my progress and if anyone has any tips on what I’m doing wrong, please do share.
Thank you for reading :)
Video is mine.
