Nature Card Breakdown, Core Set (April 2022)

in #hive-1732863 years ago

48.png
With Mortal Judgement set dropping in the middle of last month and CSR changes, we saw different deck variations for nature. Even though it wasn't the best month for nature players, as all other domains had a higher winrate, let us dive into the numbers to see what's working and what's not. As usual, you can find the spreadsheet at the bottom, so without further ado, here is the Core Card Breakdown for the month of April.

Pack Stalk

Pack stalk has come a long way om the last few months. There was an upsurge in pay due to amazon's for this card, and it is still a tech for niche decks.

Marsh Walker

It is still the bread and butter of nature one cost units. The stickiness of this unit has not been usurped; thus, it is a must in all nature decks. It also regained its crown in mythic play as the most played card.

All

  • Play Rate - 44.20%
  • Win Rate - 53.50%
  • Games played - 866,440

Amazon Conscript

With the CSR changes and MJ dropping, this card saw an uptick in pay in all ranks. Although I see a bleak future for this card as amazons got a nerf, it hasn't helped this card.

4.png

Arkominian Anteater

You will only encounter this card below mythic play. Its value lies in zoo deck variations, and you don't see that much in higher tiers. It again is a niche card for niche decks.

It saw an uptick in play with the buffs this month, although the GU devs reverted the buffs, and it's back to where it was now. Going forward, I see less play time for this card.

Conclusion

After the CSR changes and Mortal judgement set dropping in the middle of the month, we saw different variations of nature play. We even saw amazons rise into prominence until it got hit with the nerf bat. Card prices are still plummetting, which is natural as markets are crashing. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sort:

I used the jolly Green Giant in my Welcome and Core Nature deck and it was doing great things; it counters Anubians well and is a big threat that isn't that easy to get rid of. The overkill means frontlines aren't protecting everything. I'm going to change out my Pangos for this guy.

Right now people have changed their pangos to FrostGiant Deadshot, its got better stats. The Green Giant isn't a bad card by any means. The meta right now is aggro though, I don't play any 6 mana cost cards other than the hunt.

Kinda hard to run 6 drops with the meta being so aggressive. I wonder how midrange nature would do in the meta.

I tried a mid-ranged deck this weekend, and went 16/25, I believe in magic heavy metas mid-ranged nature is the way. There is a post @kstreet did about his decks for this weekend, played something similar to his 2nd deck.
