Current Voting Strategies

Hello dear Cent Community. We mentioned that we changed our voting strategy in the content here. The number of content on our community page, the 'cent' tag, and in the Inleo interface is increasing. This is a good thing. Our community continues to grow. However, this rapid growth also brings certain problems.

It takes time to deal with spam, AI-generated content, etc. At the same time, as the number of content and users increases, our probability of discovering quality content producers decreases. For these reasons, we decided to develop a set of strategies. Instead of listing the developed strategies in bullet points, it would be more useful to offer some suggestions to content producers.

Your reputation score (the number next to your username) in Hive still means a lot. For curators, your reputation score is the main criterion when voting. Therefore, your main goal in Hive should be to increase your reputation as well as your earnings. The easiest way to achieve this is to comply with general ethics and be as social as possible. It goes without saying that you need to be very patient for success.

We see some content; Almost a day has passed since it was published. It has not received any comments or votes. Definitely avoid producing and publishing such content. There is no option to delete content that has received votes in Hive. Therefore, our profile history means a lot. Spend at least twice as much time and energy as you spend creating any content to comment on other content, meet other users, and stay in touch. Respond to comments that are relevant to the content you publish. Allocate a certain portion of your account's voting power to vote on incoming comments.

We love long content in Hive. But this is a cliché :) We don't read more than half of long content. And when voting, we like content that explains the intended meaning in the shortest way possible and has sufficient explanations. And recently, a perception has started to emerge; "Artificial intelligence is generally used when creating longer content." Most of us here are not writers. Producing a long article requires a lot of time, research, knowledge and writing experience. Therefore, your priority when producing content should be sincerity and adding your own knowledge and experience to the work. Recently, content produced by using another article, visual, content created by artificial intelligence has become extremely repulsive. Sharing a few photos you took, a paragraph or two of your own sentences means more.

  • When creating short content and 'Threads', try to share as much as possible readable and understandable things. Adding a visual when necessary is more attractive. However, be extremely careful about using links and tags. Especially avoid using spam and irrelevant tags.

What would be considered "spam and irrelevant tags"?

I'd keep these rules in mind. Thank you #cent. I gotta watch those tags I use. #relevanttags

This is very detailed. Thanks for the guidelines. I really appreciate it.

Oh, I should have read this before making my post. Thanks for the update. What about the generally used community tags. Waivio, freecompliments, neoxian, etc. those general purpose communities like cent. Are those allowed?

Thanks for the guidance.
