Nvidia stock seems like the sort of thing where you either go all-in or watch from a distance, with equal parts awe and anxiety. I have witnessed countless people succumb to the AI hype train that flew by breaking $1 Trillion… and yes, like moths going towards the light. It is not surprising, then, when you hear analysts refer to it as a "once-in-a-generation opportunity.
The Hype, however, makes me nervous. It's AI as The Next Big Thing the way that dot-coms were in the '90s. Well, we all know what happened next, bubble bursts for a few… financial ruin or sudden death of ambitions. My fear is that the bar has been set sooo high. Love it or hate, Nvidia is heavily into AI. But just how much higher? A jump to $4.7 trillion? Possibly, but that's a BIG if.
To be clear, I'm not implying you should forget about Nvidia. I appreciate they have built more than just chips, and now also with software + enterprise partnerships that most don't really discuss. Which, of course, helps with timing… but also has me raising a single eyebrow. AI growth is amazing, but markets are always filled with economic rules that seem to suggest Nvidia's price may not converge towards reality.
Personally, I’m waiting. Fear maybe isnt the right word, caution.
