Hello guys, I hope there are some fans of music around 🥰.
Just this moment I heard the new album “The Tormented Poets Office” by Taylor Swift, and really it is amazing.
A surprise double album with 31 songs, that’s what this is; one big emotional roller coaster.
First of all, the issue of words should be addressed. This song writer has always been known as a teller of stories and this album does not fall short.
While each single seems like a look into her inner thoughts through lyrics that range from broken heartedness to meditation about oneself for instance in “loml”.
For example she said those words: “I wish I could un-recall how we almost had it all.” But as you listen to her sing them you can feel the depth of her feelings.
More than just lyrics, this album is good. The music in itself is fantastic. Swift’s voice has remained as angelic as always and she has incredible partners such as Florence + the Machine and Post Malone.
I am amazed by a song called “Florida!!!” with Florence + the Machine. They have the most amazing duet here, which gives birth to a very moving melody that is so attractive to me.
Besides, "Fortnight," which features Post Malone, should not be ignored because it was chosen as the first single of this album. With its unforgettable chorus that you will be humming for days this track is simply addictive.
And tonight we will finally get to see the music video and know what we can expect from Taylor in it!
This album is one of my favorites because it feels so personal. Swift wrote or co-wrote every song, and she put her heart and soul into each of them.
Whether she sings about love, breakups or self discovery there is something very real about the lyrics.
Also, there is also a surprise release of the extra fifteen songs anthology. It’s as if Taylor knew we would need more music to get crazy about .
Unfortunately, I’ve not had time to listen all bonus tracks but I believe they are similar in nature with other songs in this album.
The Tortured Poets Department is all that and more. It’s a showcase of Swift as a songwriter and instrumentalist, it will be on replay for the next few weeks. If you like Taylor Swift or just good music in general then do yourself a favor and give this album a listen. You won’t regret.
So there you have it, my thoughts on Taylor Swift’s latest masterpiece.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go listen to “The Tortured Poets Department” for the hundredth time. Happy listening everyone!
