I have talked and will continue to do so in a section of the blog about animals that are harmful to the garden, but there are also many animals that are beneficial to the garden. These are the predators that help us control pests in the most efficient and clean way possible. Our job will be to attract them and respect them so that they can help us get the best harvests.

The Black Redstart is one of my great allies and I love to see it in the garden. It is a small bird, about 15 centimetres in size and almost twice as big from wing to wing. It is a voracious insect that loves to hop around my vegetables and fly around. It doesn't mind living near humans at all because its habitat is in rocky areas where it usually makes its nests.
It is a beautiful bird but it has a song that can be annoying to some people but it is not usually a problem since they do not form groups because they are quite territorial. It is not usually a migratory bird or at most it travels a few kilometres. It is very abundant in the Mediterranean, especially in the north.
You don't have to do anything to attract them but you do have to respect them and if you see a nest, do not disturb them because if they feel threatened they will abandon the laying.
Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
