I have talked and will continue to do so in a section of the blog about animals that are harmful to the garden, but there are also many animals that are beneficial to the garden. These are the predators that help us control pests in the most efficient and clean way possible. Our job will be to attract them and respect them so that they can help us get the best harvests.

The Tarentola mauritanica or here known as dragonet because it looks like a miniature dragon. It is a small reptile that I adore and that does a great job not only in the garden but also at home. And these animals live with us in total harmony.
On many occasions I find them at home but rarely inside the house but rather on the outside walls as if they were defending us from mosquitoes. And in a certain way that is what they do. Also like all reptiles they are very clean animals which is not the case with birds.
Their function in the garden is very simple they eat insects non-stop and among them pests such as caterpillars or snails. But also butterflies that then lay their eggs in our vegetables. It is not necessary to attract them to the garden but if you make compost you will see that there are many more and that they are much healthier.
Also children love to play with them they are easy to catch and totally harmless to us.
Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
