When it comes to relationship, never try to build back a bridge that you never burnt.
What does this mean?
When you have issues with someone that is very close to you be willing and be open to reconcile with that person, create a friendly environment that can enable you two to come together. But what you must not do is to allow the person who started the problem to put you in the position of the offender.
Never let the offender turn you into the defender of the problem. Some people are specialist when it comes to making people feel bad and guilty of the problem they themselves started at first. They will beat you first and start crying immediately to make people think you are the one who hit them first. They know how to play victim of the problem they created.
If you allow such people to manipulate you easily, you might start contemplating your own sanity.
You must know you who are and stand your ground always. Being open for reconciliation does not mean you should mean you must bend over to them when they still refuse to accept their wrong.
If they don't accept that they were not the ones who burnt bridges, then don't try fixing it, or else, next time they will burn you down with the bridge.
