If anyone would tell me that I would get an answer script and sit for like 5 minutes without knowing what to do or write in a test or exam hall, I would say it can never happen.
I always make sure I go into any test or exam hall with at least 70% and worst of all 50%.
I am always ready, and I mean always ready for any test or exam.
I grew up knowing that success isn't handed down to people but we have to work for it.
I have never gone for an exam without flipping through the pages of my books or material and studying well for it.
And this has always been the case.
For this very test, I did prepare well, trust me I did my very best, I mean about 60% of what was taught. The material was quite bulky and the time for preparation was quite short but I know some people even the lecturer would say it's all excuses, well, I wouldn't say it is but just an honest observation even though they always have their way of making it look like students are being unserious and lazy about their studies.
So yesterday after we all wrote our names on the answer booklet, waiting for the questions, and praying that it would come from the part we all prepared very well for, little did we know that questions would be gotten from where we least expected.
We all saw the shock in everyone's faces lol, I looked at my friend's faces and I saw dismay, not to mention a few other persons that I know are also always serious with studies.
We were not only shocked but fear was registered all over our faces, cause it seemed like it was the first time we were gonna submit a blank answer booklet.
We all sat for like 5 minutes rolling our biros and thinking of what exactly to pen down. I mean it was that terrible and the lecturer really took us off balance.
And the test was supposed to be a 10 minutes test but ended up being 18 minutes although most of my colleagues complained about the time not being up to 18 minutes.
Well I wouldn't know cause it really wasn't my concern being that giving more time wouldn't have changed anything or the fact that we didn't know what to put down on paper.
And out of four questions asked, most of us only knew 1-2 and still weren't sure of our answers.
We were all sad, hurt, heartbroken, angry and devastated to mention a few.
We never expected it, in our entire years in the university, that was the first time I and my few fellow serious colleagues had such a terrible experience with a test.
We were so pained and sad and to think that our project supervisor made matters even worse for us after our terrible test experience.
Yesterday wasn't really a very good one for us and even worse for most of us.
And to crown it all, we still had a break out misunderstanding and dragging in the department concerning some general cleanup that was to be done after classes in preparation for school accreditation on Monday.
In all of this, I really did have a terrible Friday but I do hope the new week will wash all the pain and worries and begin with blessing and goodness, Amen.
I do hope you all are having a good weekend.
