This post features several Swamp Thing figures in my collection, the two boxed ones of which are the latest. These action figures really keep me Alive!
Above is the magnificent Swamp Thing Deluxe New 52 winged version which has exquisite sculpt detail. Its accessories include a sharp weapon and a shield. This Swampy is also horned.
Below is the DC Comics Essentials version with the more familiar Swampy head. Its body sculpt is exactly the same as the deluxe version, with only the paint apps being different and with the wings absent.
The only but serious downside to these figures are the fragile joints, especially in the shoulders, that almost certainly break when they are posed. Thus I am contemplating keeping them inside the box forever. However, a customizer I am friends with can make short work of these defects and repair them should they break.
In comparison, below is the McFarlane horned version, which is a really large guy.
