Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to take a look back into my photo archives to find some other things to post!
Into The Archives
Into the archives of my photos I go! Where will I end up? I certainly don't know!
I've been writing a lot of mindset and pscychology related stuff lately because quite frankly, I haven't been able to get out there and take photos for myself. Between the weather and other thins going on, I haven't spent as much time going out exploring as I would like to which is challenging in many ways but it is what it is.
I decided that I wanted to focus just on some of the photographs I've taken. I chose a few that I wanted to share, and take a little trip down memory lane in terms of the pictures!
Cherries have been something that my son has really been focusing his time and attention on lately. For a really long time it's only been blueberries that were his favorite, but recently that has been moved over a little bit for cherries! We thankfully have some cherry farms near where we live, so we get to spend time going to them and picking out delicious bunches of cherries. This means that we, when it's in season, have a substantial amount of delicious and fresh fruit available to us! Cherries are one of the newer ones that we've been trying to go to, starting about 3 or 4 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. The cherries at the farm are cheaper and a lot fresher than the ones we've had to buy at the store lately, but that's okay, at the end of the day the little man gets to enjoy quite a bit of them so that's all that matters!
I guess this one is going to continue with the cherries! I was looking at the pictures and really couldn't pass up a few photos of gigantic bunches of cherries and how delicious it looks.
The weather when we were cherry picking here was actually perfect. There was a slight drizzle in the air, meaning that the temperature was comfortable but it wasn't too hot or sunny. This also kept the bugs and bees away, which is a considerable improvement to fighting them for the bunches of fruit and being unsure if you are going to get attacked hahaha. This particular farm we went to here was a brand new one to us, so that was a lot of fun! We picked a few fantastic pounds of cherries, and were on our way in about an hour. The sad thing about this one though was that they didn't allow the use of a ladder. Ladders are great when you are picking because it allows you to get the good ones that are higher up in the trees!
The other passion of my sons: blueberries. I guess this is just going to be a fruit-related post today, but that's okay LOL they are all good!
Blueberries have been a staple in my sons diet since he was able to chew solid foods basically. I'm interested in how that plays out from an underlying perspective - what is his body craving on a fundamental level that draws him so consistently and frequently to blueberries? I know that may seem silly, but we are very in-tune with our bodies and what they need. They will very often tell you exactly what it needs if you are able and willing to listen to it!
These blueberries here are incredibly early season, which is evident in that they are not at all blue but still quite green. This means that we were picking something else, most likely strawberries or perhaps cherries at the time but I think cherries ripen at a similar time of season as the blueberries do. At any rate though, it's so nice to see the tens of thousands of berries just waiting to ripen in the sun and environment, waiting for people, birds and bees to take their delicious offerings and bring those seeds all over the place.
What about you, do you have fond memories of picking fresh fruit or foods? Let me know in the comments!
