World-ending War update

in #hive-1741222 years ago

Well, its possible it ended in 2012. We are birthing a new cycle right now. Except, all the old people are still in charge. And because the bombs are so big, they still seem relevant.

Here are some references from a few oldies who, although they can't manage a youtube thumbnail, seem to be able to tell the truth about our european war.

We can't keep up with production. We are not an industrial nation anymore, we are post-industrial. And war is the only excuse they can think up in order to rebuild these capabilities.

Maybe a proxy war will help us get our groove back. But I doubt it - since we've been out of our liberty-loving groove since the Overthrow of Hawaii in 1893.

We are hearing about a rushed peace offer. The US officials seem to know whats happening behind the propaganda war. It can be hard to know who to believe, but it seems clear that Russia is pushing, Russia is winning, and Russia is WAY deeper.

By the way, this Anthony Blinken guy..... I'm getting tired of hearing about A. Blinken!

Okay okay, but, as the story goes, Ukrainians are doing good, they just need our money-power and they are well on their way to dismantling Russia into 15 pieces, a jolly mirror-reflection of the break-up of the Soviet Union. Everyone is talking about it. (Suddenly Demographics is the great crystal ball lol).

It all makes sense! Its probably even good for the people, this is all natural, just look back to the 1600's and you can see. (anyone remember that far back?)

Let's talk to one of the many western mercs fighting in Ukraine to bust the myth that Russia and their forces are 'just not that good'. They are good. And they are winning.

This video has nice picture inlays explaining lots of the tech and equipment acronyms that are used in the military.

Let me also link you to Moon of Alabama, which is a solid news source from 'the other side' of the Dneiper, and even a lot of what happens in Europe that gets thrice-twisted before landing on this side of the Atlantic.

Remember, they send old-model weapons ('aid') to make inventory space so they can requisition new and more expensive weapons from the defense contractors.

And Ukraine is a black hole of weapons trading and money laundering. You didn't think all that stuff was ending up on the actual front lines did you? Which front lines?

Its not coincidence that US president Joe Biden's family is tied to corruption in Ukraine. Its one of the most corruptly run countries out there, and has been known for a long time.

Okay, so that's some backgrounder. Let's see if Jimmy Dore can make us understand what this is all about:

Your enemy is not China, your enemy is not Russia, your enemy is the Military Industrial Complex.

United States is the world's terrorist. We just set the middle east on fire for the last 20 years and now we're doing a proxy war in Ukraine, that we provoked, admitted we provoked a war in Ukraine.

I'm going to just keep growing firewood here on the side of our mountain. Enjoy the view:

Freedom and Friendship

Sort:

we've been out of our liberty-loving groove since the Overthrow of Hawaii in 1893.

What liberty-loving groove? We've been at constant war since the founding of the country. The Cherokee War in 1759, The War of 1812, the war against Mexico in 1846, the war against Spain in 1898. I probably missed a few in there. Not to mention the Monroe Doctrine—ie, we are allowed to constantly interfere in Central and South America as much as we want and none of you European States better say a word about it.

Yeah... liberty-loving....

Whew... sorry for the rant.

Anyway, keep growing firewood and smiling!

The resources we've spent on war would have done wonders to improve other aspects of our society. But hey, American Exceptionalism.

It's less that than is generally made out. That's an excuse that other countries make for America, to explain away her actions and justify their not doing anything against it. But it's not the reason. The reason the war industry keeps thriving is it makes a lot of money. It's the rich and powerful using war to make themselves more money at our expense. At our expense because that war money that flows into their pockets would have otherwise gone into public works projects and improved life for the poor and middle classes, and especially at the poor's expense because they are the ones who join the army (for the money; why do you think the army promises to pay for college?) and go overseas to die.

It's a racket.

Absolutely agreed.

Inheriting the war with Mexico by adding Texas was an interesting episode!

Thanks for the flavorful comment!

better smile and see the glass half full rather than the problems around the world

I will say here that fighting such a war does not benefit anyone, rather it makes the lives of the people living there much more difficult. As we all know now that there is a war between Russia and Ukraine, the only loss is the people living there because many people have left the country now. People of the whole world want this war to end as soon as possible and peace in the whole world. When a person gets angry, that's how a person becomes a person, people keep hitting each other.

I agree
