yesterday's Dencun Upgrade (EIP#4844) for Mainnet has substantially brought down gas fee for all L-2s like Optimism, Base, etc. and txn there are already almost like free. (Some L-2s like Linea may take a couple of weeks to implement it).
hoping some of the load from Ethereum mainnet will be relieved as blobs have got dedicated block space. Hence there must be some reduction in gas fee there too.
