Seize the Moment: Embracing Opportunities as They Come.

There is an old saying that our elders do tell us, and it says, "Make hay while the sun shines". This proverb talks about taking every opportunity that comes our way at any time and not being pessimistic about what we are supposed to do at any time. This is a general thought that I feel everyone should always have because, when we were very young, we had some opportunities that we did not recognize as an opportunity, but then they went away because we were naive about them.

Now, when we have a better understanding of them, it is good to make use of them while they last and not letting it go. Remember that, when some opportunities go, they might never come back again because we do not utilise them and they are meant for that period. When talking about opportunities, it is said that everything has its time and season: a time to weed, a time to plant, a time to harvest, a time to weep, and a time to laugh. If an opportunity comes your way and some point and we ignore it, it might be our own time; that is why we got that chance, and it would be in our best interest to be able to seize that chance.

Hay, which is used here, is a dry grass that can be gotten during a dry season when there is much sun to dry it. Hays cannot be generated during the winter or dry season because it is very cold, and instead grasses will grow even more. This means that this period is a good period for us to plant. But getting hay means the sun is out, and then we have the opportunity to get dry grass, so then it has served its purpose. So what this means is that hay came out in its own season, not in the wet season.

Opportunity can come in any form, whether in our personal lives, developing ourselves, building careers, or relationships. It can just come in the form of a test, which we have no choice but to do, and when we have planned against this time or season, we will be able to reap the rewards because we were prepared for it. Never wait until you are in need of something before you start planning, because by then, it might not be useful again. That's why it is good to always prepare ahead. May hay while the sun still shines, not when the sun has gone. Opportunity waits for no man, as it comes with time and season.
