Splinterlands art contest --- Drawing of Vampiric Blossom

I want to welcome you all to my splinterlands art post as i would be sharing my entry with you all my entry is about the card Vampiric Blossom which i find quite interesting. I couldn't get my hands around the outline at first. I had to take my time to put it together before the main drawing. Outline gives you the skeleton of the work and gives you the direction the work should go.

I really enjoyed the process i forgot to take pictures. I started with drawing a sketchy outline of the image before i used my 7B pencil to shade out the image. A drawing is incomplete until you shade it, it gives life to any image so i did so little by little till i got what i wanted.
