Every other week I do a miniature painting from last December and I fill these paintings with random cute sceneries sometimes they turnout great some times they are just midocre but I thoroughly enjoy the process of creating them and sharing how I made these step by step with you guys here .
Here is all the materials you will need to make this cute little painting . We need a cartridge paper sheet cut it into 6×4 inch size and that's gonna be our canvas , we need masking tape to stick this to a surface also masking tape serves as a great way to have those clean edges like a frame in end , we need acrylic paints and for the brushes I'm using a round brush , a fine liner 000 brush and a flat brush . I also will use an old flat brush that has bad bristles just as a dry brush to get that grass like texture .
Next we will stick our canvas on a surface with tape and start working on it step one is making the background gradient because I'm thinking about a sky view so I did some dark blue to teal transition and added some white paint and just used my flat brush to blend it all out on the canvas. Now I mix some red and blue together to make this very rusty red brown color and I just start using the bad bristle dry brush to dabb and make this bush like texture on our painting then I let it dry a bit and on top of this I dabbed some dark green and yellow so you know , the best way to make anything stand out is adding depth to it and we can do that by showing how the backside has some darker shadow layers , I think layering is a great way to make paintings realistic , I made a thin crescent in the sky next and cleaned the dry brush up and made white clouds in the sky same way but this time dabbing in circles . Thing is when your painting clouds don't get too carried away less is always more . I also added some silhouette of birds flying and more yellow dots to the bush they look like small flowers popping out and there you have it .
Lastly I removed the tape and here is the final result .
