Hello, Hive artists!

Today I did a portrait a bit out of the ordinary, as I wanted to step out of my comfort zone for a moment to see what would come out.

I was inspired by a makeup I saw of a girl, also a little bit on pinterest and Leela from futurama. I hope you like it a lot!

Hoy hice un retrato un poco fuera de la común, pues quería salir de mi zona de confort por un momento para ver que salía.

Me inspiré en un maquillaje que vi a una chica, también un poco en Pinterest y en Leela de Futurama. Espero les guste mucho!

Sketch / Boceto

This was my initial sketch, and as you can see it was very simple. I simply started with a circle, to which I then added a vertical line in the middle to divide the face and thus to indicate the parts where the nose, the mouth and the eyes would go, which in this case are three.

Este fue mi boceto inicial, y como ven fue muy sencillo. Simplemente empecé con un circulo, al que luego le añadí una raya vertical en el medio para dividir la cara y así ir señalando las partes donde iría la nariz, la boca y los ojos, que en este caso son tres.

Here are all the parts of the face already located, only the detailing is missing, which is the next step.

Aquí ya están todas las partes de la cara ubicadas, solamente falta detallar, el cual es el siguiente paso.

Details / Detalles

As you can see, I detailed the parts of the face in pencil only and highlighted some parts simply to keep in mind that it is precisely there that I would apply more color when outlining it with markers.

Cómo ven, detallé las partes de la cara a lápiz solamente y remarqué algunas simplemente para tener en cuenta que precisamente ahí aplicaría mas cantidad de color al momento de delinearlo con rotuladores.

I added neck, shoulders and hair.

Agregué cuello, hombros y cabello.

Outline / Delineado

Here I started applying the first layer of shadows and outlining with black pencil.

Aquí empecé a aplicar la primera capa de sombras y a delinear con lápiz de color negro.

I really wanted to leave the hair white, but I felt it was missing some color, so I tried to make a difference by applying shadow to the area near the neck.

Realmente quería dejar el cabello blanco, pero sentía que le hacía falta algo de color, así que intente hacer diferencia aplicando sombra en la zona cercana al cuello.

I didn't really like the previous result, as I didn't see much sense in the shadow in that area, so I decided to paint it all black with a Sharpie marker.

No me gustó mucho el resultado anterior, pues no le veía mucho sentido a la sombra en esa zona, así que decidí pintarlo todo de negro con un marcador Sharpie.

Lastly, I added more shadows on the face and that's it!

Por último, agregué mas sombras en la cara y listo!
