I didn't know exactly what to do, as I was short of inspiration, but I saw a butterfly passing by and I started to think about what the design of the butterflies would look like if I had created them, and this is what came out...
No sabía que hacer exactamente, pues estaba corta de inspiración, pero vi pasar a una mariposa y me puse a pensar como sería el diseño de las mariposas si yo las hubiera creado y pues, esto fue lo que salió...
Sketch / Boceto
I started drawing sketches of butterflies with different sizes and shapes, as I wanted it to look very varied.
Empecé a dibujar bocetos de mariposas con diferentes tamaños y formas, pues quería que se viera muy variado.
I then proceeded to shape the wings of each of the butterflies.
Luego procedí a hacer a darle forma a las alas de cada una de las mariposas.
The next step was to design the wings.
El siguiente paso fue realizar el diseño de las alas.
Here I started to shade everything with pencil.
Aquí empecé a sombrear todo con lápiz.
And lastly, I outlined it and gave it more depth with black pencil.
