Hello friends @sketchbook community, is your girl,my humbled self @happy080, I am happy as usual to display my work for your pleasure.
Still open for improvement and better portraits in the future.
Today I did a sketch of a girl wearing a nose mask to prevent her from contracting the deadly disease: COVID-19

I was inspired to draw this portrait by a family friend, when we were having a playful but serious conversation about how things were not properly done and all the disappointments and setbacks such ill-management and negative energies can bring. During the discussion, she mentioned the time of COVID -19 and how she pulled through that difficult time.

This got me thinking and gave me a serious flashback on the world's record and how the world automatically stopped.

COVID-19: the disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome. Also known as the CORONAVIRUS.

So I decided to sketch how everyone was actually looking like, wearing of face mask was paramount to life, apart from keeping distances and washing of hands.

Face mask was very important. Because of the severity of the disease, most people will wear a face mask that will almost cover their eyes and even add a face cap to it.Yes oo!

Who wants to die.?....Lolz.! Life is sweet my friend.I do not wish for the world to go through that horrible experience again.

So I decided to draw a girl wearing a nose mask that is almost covering her eyes but because she was wearing a face cap,her eyes were not seen.

MY HUMBLED TECHNIQUE
Firstly, I drew the shape of the cap and lowered her face underneath the cap, then I carved out her chin together with her nose mask which was attached to her ears. Then sketched her neck together with her hair.
I highlighted the base and sketched some parts of the drawing.
I shaded the cap with an orange and a pink colour, mixing the part where I painted only pink with lead shadings and her dress with green colour.highlighted the lines again. Corrected some parts here and there and ..TARAA.! My portrait is ready.

ITEMS I USED FOR SKETCHING ARE:
•A4 plain sheet
•Soft HB lead
•pencil colour

BELOW ARE THE STEP TO STEP PROCESS OF MY SKETCH

Stay safe @sketchbook Community. Lots of love from me.. Always.
