Hello friends @sketchbook community, It's your humble girl @happy080.I am delighted to be here as usual .Today I did a portrait of a girl.
Today i was having an art section with a child, I noticed she was actually having difficulty in sketching a picture of a girl. She had made several attempts on how to go about the drawings and now she seems to have given up since she could not figure out the techniques for the image.
So I stepped in by introducing her to an easy way to navigate any image that seems to be difficult.
I usually call this method: A Robotic Technique
MATERIALS I USED FOR MY HUMBLE PORTRAIT.
- drawing lead
- ball point pen (black)
- ruler
- eraser
- plain sheet (white)
- crayon (green and yellow)
THE FOLLOWING ARE MY STEP TO STEP PROCEDURES.
Firstly, I collected an empty container for drawing a circle in the middle of the plain sheet.
Then, I used a ruler to draw a line square in between the circle, indicating the separation of the eyes, nose and mouth.
Then under yet that circle, I drew another line which links to the base of the circle, indicating the jaw line.
I extended the ruler beneath the circle and drew a rectangular shape, indicating the body and where the hand will be located, with the neck attached with a straight line.
Now I drew the eyes, sketched the face line and the cap which she was wearing.
So now, I sketched her nose close to the line and above her eyes, then followed by her lip, in-between the lines.
Now I drew a broad line, curving it down wards, which represented her huge looking hair.I also sketched her eye brows.
Then is time for her hair Immediately that was done.
It was time to erase all the lines and diameters.
Then the image will appear clear.
HERE ARE THE FINAL TOUCHES OF THE PORTRAIT.
Immediately I finished explaining to her and how to go about using line and diameters to draw complex images. She was very excited and was willing to try out yet another diagram.
Thanks friends @sketchbook community and beyond for always stopping by my post to read and view through.
Love you all. Always ❤️
