Lovely Hivers. I just finished this piece of art. Seen the type on pinterest. I now use pinterest to get more ideas. And i could say i made this piece too. I am planing on rebranding as soon as i have few printed frame works.
So I’m trying to make more colorful works.
I really like how real it looks and i like how i burnish the rod with red after painting with orange at first. It makes it look like an ancient rod almost rusty.
Process
As usual on my grid paper, i sketched out the shape of the hammer first. Cutting out the edge of the hammer head. And i cleaned out all the grid lines.
And then i started adding charcoal dust with the artist brush right from the side of the hammer head. And i did the spiral design.
After which i shaded the whole hammer head with the brush amd charcoal dust.
Then I moved on to the rod and handle. Which i painted orange and burnished with red color. And the design in the middle was made distinguishing.
Once in done with the hammer figure, i added the shadows with brush and charcoal dust and i cut out the sheet right at the top edge.
