Hello folks, I bring to you a portrait painting I did using a water color, this work marks the 3rd experimental piece I have done, after over two decades since I last used a water color. This piece reminds me so much of my childhood where I grew up, we used to have one very clean river close to my house back then, often times you will find kids playing by the bank of the river and also swimming.
Childhood was really fun back then we had no worries no adult hood responsibilities, Just little kids with so much adrenaline who want to play and have fun.
At the River we had a cliff at the bank of the river, this was where we always jump into the River, performing different gymnastic skills and people around would cheer us up, this activities continued until one faithful day, when one of us had a serious injury he had no experience on how to somersault into the river.
We almost lost this dude that day, he took a wrong dive and landed with his head at the bed of the river, he sustained a serious injury. After that serious accident we were warned by some elderly people not to use that river again.

As for my friend he is very much okay but that scare is still glaring on his forehead, only those who knew him way back could tell of the scare on his face. We often see it like a trademark and make funny jokes of that day.

That day was my last day swimming at a river, But later after months passed people still visited the beautiful riverside.
