"The best things in life are sweet."

What makes life sweet?
Hmmm...is it sharing a hearty chit-chat with your favorite company over some sweet delight that indulges your taste buds into some delectable freshly-baked cupcakes with a shiny chocolatey frosting and an appetizing bright-red cherry on top?
How about elating your sweet tooth by enjoying a bite of inviting mouth-watering doughnuts sprinkled all over with some vibrant tiny sweet confectionaries where every bite is a taste of pure bliss?
Either both, it would be perfect to partner it with a cup of hot brewed coffee, wouldn't it?
Oh well, hello, beautiful people!
I am talking about these yummy-looking sweet delights that are for your eyes only. Pardon if ever it makes you crave sweets, lol!
For your eyes only because instead of having it freshly taken from the oven to the dining table, it's rather a not-so-fresh off-easel acrylic on stretched canvas painting to be mounted on the wall.
These were some of the pandemic paintings I have done to keep my sanity during the peak of coronavirus' lockdown three years ago.
I'm a bit sad that I was not able to save some colorful snaps to share with you here the progress of these paintings because, during those times, my cellphone was damaged so I had to borrow a phone from my brother (well, big thanks to him) to at least have a picture of it completely done. But still, I'm happy to have the privilege of sharing it with you here on Hive.
So here we go. Wanna take a b̶i̶t̶e̶ peek?
This mouthwatering cupcake is baked from a mixture of vibrant colors from my palette. Added with the blend of colorful hues of frosting slathered high on the top through my paintbrush. Up to this day, it's d̶e̶l̶i̶c̶i̶o̶u̶s̶l̶y̶ beautifully (I supposed it is, lol) hung on my wall until the day comes that it will be welcomed on someone else's wall.
Now, let's talk about this deliciously strawberry-flavored glazed donut. Oh well, it was baked, I mean painted with fluffy colors of vanilla topped with a fresh strawberry glaze through acrylic paints. With its shimmering pink I mixed it with different shades of pink to look this yummy. It was so yummy that you could taste its sweet sprinkles of colorful tiny candies on top.
This one was already cordially given to a dear friend on her birthday. She's a huge fan of strawberry-flavored sweets by the way so I guess it made perfect sense why I thought on giving her this as a birthday present. I just hope that she'll treasure it as much as I do. Oh, it's every artist's happiness to see his/her painting carefully hung on the wall of someone else's home.
These images of sweet delights are somehow saying that we have to enjoy each fleeting sweet moment in this life and savor it while it lasts. And I'm glad to be sharing with you how I was able to preserve it through a piece of art.
