Hello everyone, I had a good day today. It was pretty chill and I had breakfast with my host family here in Dresden. We rarely meet to eat together but we've been able to do so every Sunday so far. I was told breakfast is a big deal in Germany. However the breakfast is usually called a cold breakfast because it's mostly traditional breads and butter.

One thing I like in Germany is that people here drink a lot of water. I love sparkling water and I'm in the land of sparkling water. I don't have the stats but Germans drink more than the rest of the world and that's a welcome change from an over caffeinated Ukraine. My family rarely drank just pure water and for a long time I did the same until I left to a different city.

Anyway, enough with the chit chat :) and let's talk about the painting I did today.

I started with a sketch

I then proceeded to paint the base colors

I added some dark lines for contrast

I then continued with the process of adding shadows and highlights

I love playing with light a lot so I added some more light as in the final piece and the background shadow
