Greetings, Fellow Visual Art Planners!
A couple of years ago...I had time to paint a bit, or at least begin learning. My first watercolor sketchbook for...let's say this century, at least...seemed expensive to me. Relative to all drawing or painting materials I had previously had at any point in time. And I value paper more than the average dude would, so I used to split the sheets in two and then practice on both sides of each half, too.
Yesterday I reviewed some of the old practice sheets that I had obviously not thrown away and I selected a few background samples to crop from them and keep for future use in some combined images.
This could turn into a seascape, a meadow, a forest, some foggy environment, etc.
A light sky motive.
It began as a sunset but now it reminds me of the atmosphere of a gas giant...which is to say the whole mass of worlds much, much bigger than ours, by the way.
The serene waters of a quiet gulf. Or sky...
More marine details. I'll need some at some point to fill the frame area of the cards from a certain board game project of ours...
And perhaps it's all just a part of my hoarder nature. I wouldn't throw a thing that I find something beautiful or potentially useful in. Or even imagination stimulating without getting into details.
Well, these here details are waiting on the sideline to join some...probable...future artistic venture.
Only time shall tell.
Peace and Hard Brushwork!
Yours,
Manol
