¡Hola, Comunidad de Hive! Hoy les comparto la ilustración más reciente de mi proyecto URBANITO, en el que diseñé a dicho personaje en el estilo Rubber Hose (manguera de goma, traducido al español), un estilo de dibujo que seguían las caricaturas de los años 30 como Popeye o las primeras versiones de Mickey Mouse. Se caracteriza por usar ojos negros con una pupila triangular, así como por la ausencia de puntas en las extremidades de los personajes, haciéndolos parecer de goma. A continuación les muestro el proceso que seguí para hacer esta ilustración.

Hello, Hive Community! Today I'm sharing with you the most recent illustration of my URBANITO project, in which I designed this character in the Rubber Hose style, a drawing style followed by cartoons from the 30's like Popeye or the first versions of Mickey Mouse. It is characterized by the use of black eyes with a triangular pupil, as well as the absence of tips on the extremities of the characters, making them look like rubber. Below I show you the process I followed to make this illustration.
El primer paso fue dibujar al personaje, Urbanito, con este estilo, cambiando así sus ojos y la forma de sus extremidades.

The first step was to draw the character, Urbanito, in this style, changing his eyes and the shape of his limbs.
Luego le agregué algunos elementos al escenario como un radio y un graffiti que hace a alusión a los años 30.

Then I added some elements to the stage like a radio and a graffiti that alludes to the 30s.
Después del dibujo anterior hecho a lápiz, empecé con el entintado, usando un marcador Kores de punta ultrafina.

After the previous pencil drawing, I started with the inking, using a Kores ultra-fine tip marker.
Después de este apartado hecho de forma tradicional, empecé el digital, pasando la última foto por la opción Umbral de Photoshop CS6, reforzando así el blanco y negro del dibujo.

After this section done in the traditional way, I started the digital, passing the last photo through the Threshold option of Photoshop CS6, thus reinforcing the black and white of the drawing.
