Hello everyone, once again!
I know, I know, I missed a day of the promptathon since I didn't upload any drawings yesterday. I apologize for that. I had a pretty tight schedule for that day, so I was unable to draw anything. If I am chanced enough, I will try to draw the previous prompt that I missed and post it here.
Now enough about the previous day and let's get to the present.
Today, the prompt of the day was "Secret Garden". What it's all about is a garden, or a forest, or any plant related thing that has a kind of secret, which could be anything.
I had no idea of what to come up with this. Like nothing at all.
After a few minutes of thinking, I decided to go with "Tree Viking Guardian". Why did that come up in my head? I have no idea. Apparently, when the mind is left alone, it is capable of coming up with really crazy ideas.
But unfortunately, I got so caught up with drawing, so I don't have a lot of pictures of how my process went. It is pretty easy to lose track of everything when drawing. Sorry about that.
In this drawing, I tried to implement some form of landscape perspective. But it wasn't perfect.
In the picture before I got to this point, I tried setting up the perspective of the environment by trying to get the vanishing points of the scene. But trying to keep track of perspective while drawing is pretty difficult.
Plus I haven't drawn trees, plants or even an entire environment before, so I didn't know what to do most time. I just decided to wing it.
Here is the finished piece:
I wasn't able to spend as much time on this one like the rest because I drew this in a hurry. Even with the little time I spent, it was pretty difficult to get this. Besides, this was my first attempt at drawing an environment. But with constant practice, it will surely get better.
