An happy Wednesday to you all!
The weather looks really crazy here in my area. Yesterday was a sunny warm day, today it's raining and it's so cold. Well, doesn't matter, I can just take off and put on the sweater. ^_^
This morning, like I use to do every day, I woke up soon to work on a some new artworks during the first, quiet hours of the day. Before to start to work on a new piece, I decided to exercise my imagination leaving my hands free to work on the pages of my sketchbook and, in the following pic, you can see the final result:
It was a simple exercise that is very useful to improve the imagination: I choose a couple of different objects from the ones I had in a box and, inspired by them, I leave my imagination free to work on something about both of them.
In the case I chose a sea shell and an old little spoon. The image that come into my mind was a snail and so I painted it using my oil colors on the page of my sketchbook. ^_^
I took some pics while I was painted the snail so you can see the process too:
I like this kind of exercises, they are simple and fast, but very very useful! ^_^
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
