Hello hivers, an happy Friday to you all! Another weekend is just around the corner and here it's raining since this morning. I can feel the smell of the Autumn in the air and I like it.
During these days I'm painting a lot of different birds, colorful birds and parrots too. Maybe I need to see a lot of colors around me and in my mind too. ^_^
Yesterday, in the afternoon, I worked on a new parrot in my own illustrative style during the lesson of the art class inside our lab. While my lovely hubby was teaching to the students, I was in a corner in front of my small working table and I painted the following funny parrot:
I was inspired by the cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) parrot, I was so intrigued by that red rounded area similar to a cheek. ^_^
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do every time I share something new with you, I took some pics while I was painted this parrot so you can see the process too:
As soon as possible I'll add this new artwork to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom), hoping it will find a new home and a nice wall to decor!
