An happy Thursday to you all!
Yesterday the courier knocked on my door with a nice surprise for my from my hubby @paolobeneforti : an art book with a lot of beautiful pics of the artworks by Mark Ryden, a pop surrealist painter I love so much!
We bought a second hand copy of that book on ebay at a good price and so we bought it. Mark Ryden has a very interesting illustrative style (but creepy, believe me) and he uses to mix elements from the childhood like dolls and toys with disturbing elements.
At the end of this content I'll add a pic of the cover of the book.
Coming back to us, today I'm here to share with you a new artwork I painted yesterday while my hubby was teaching to the art class inside our lab:
As you can see, the subject is a sort of little one who is flying between some clouds where there are tiny houses and tiny trees.
This piece is an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do every time I paint something new, I took a couple of pics while I was painted it so you can see the process too:
