An happy Wednesday to you all!
While I can see the raindrops fallen down from the sky, this morning I felt the need to paint something new, something I've never painted before: a toucan!
Just to know the toucan is not one of the common birds who lives in my country (Italy) and I've never seen it in real, but along the time I watched a lot of pics of this kind of bird and, as you can understand, its massive beak in yellow colors catched my imagination for so long, so today I decided it was time to paint one of them! 😊
I just finished to paint the bird portrait (in my own illustrative style) and you can see the final result of the artwork in the following pics:
I liked to paint this toucan and I'm pretty sure I'll paint some other similar ones in the future. I love that large large beak on a not so large body (where I added some delicate black leaves, like I use to do when I paint the birds).
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painted it so you can see the process too:
