Hey guys, my name is Baz and I come from a city called Coimbatore, India. Before I get into introducing myself I'd like to tell you a bit about the city I grew up in and how it has molded me to be the person I am. Coimbatore is a small city in the southern part of India. It's surrounded by hills and beautiful lakes. If you take a car and head out for 15-30 mins, you will reach a destination with beautiful lakes and farms and very less traffic and pollution.

So it's very easy to get away from city problems and take a breather and enjoy nature. Usually me and my friends drive around, find a new spot everyday and then chill for a few hours, smoke some, drink some, talk about aliens, UFOs, movies, and make a lot of jokes. This has helped me to become one with nature, be humble and grateful for the life we are living. It helps me focus on the good things about Earth and how lucky we all are to be alive.

Now let me tell you about MYSELF. I'm a fitness trainer by passion, yes you heard that right, by PASSION. I use to be a fat kid, weighing around 100kg and now I'm 78Kg with 20% body fat. Yess, 20%. I have always wanted to be fit, you know, have a six pack so since I was 15, I used to YouTube "six pack shortcuts" and literally do 500 crunches EVERY morning. I didn't know about diet and didn't join a gym until I was 18.

That's my transformation photo. That was taken 2 years ago. I'm in much better shape now. So I'll tell you how my journey from FAT to FIT helped me to find my passion in the fitness industry. So, when I turned 18, I joined a gym and learnt more about nutrition. I started lifting weights and controlled by food habits by not eating junk. I did lose a lot of weight but I did not put any muscle because of my so called "no junk food" habits. Later I learnt that in order to build muscle I gotta EAT right like WEIGH AND EAT my portions of food. I didn't wanna do that so I joined Instagram and started following a lot of fitness influencers and came across CALISTHENICS. CALISTHENICS is basically a different form of workout where you use only your body weight to gain super human strength like HANDSTAND, HANDSTAND PUSHUPS and much more. Its a way to burn excess fat with using only your body weight. I didn't have to weigh my food. All I had to do was eat healthy and workout 3-4 times a day using movements like push-ups, pullups, dips and squats and this was the LIFE CHANGING moment for me.

I learnt movements like headstand, handstand, pistol squat, L-sit, superman push-ups and many more. I started losing weight and started becoming SUPER STRONG in terms of my strength. I became more discipline, more patient because to achieve all these goals it takes a lot of time since I used only YouTube to train myself. My friends started motivating me saying how good I've become and that they wanted to learn to do these cool stuff too. So I started teaching them and posting videos on Instagram and got a following and my journey to a fitness trainer started from then. I've never looked back even when I had setbacks like shoulder injuries which put me out of working out for 6 months, I came back and I'm stronger than ever. Injuries helped me to learn the right way to train so the SETBACK was basically a learning lesson.
Okay, I'm getting too excited and I could write about calisthenics for ever but I'll save some for my next blogs.
