Is abuse inevitable?
We use a lot of words today, we know them, and what they mean on a surface value, we know when and where to use them, but still we don't fully comprehend the depth of those words , one of such words for me is "abuse".
When I hear the word abuse what comes to mind is maltreating something or someone or overusing a thing .
My encounter with this word - abuse really started after I heard this quote "when purpose is not known abuse is inevitable" and this quote has opened my mind to a lot of things, starting from finding out what abuse really meant, to the importance of accurate knowledge concerning situations, phenomenons, concepts etc. It was this quote that led me to finding out what the word abuse truly meant.
The word "abuse" comes from the Latin words "ab" meaning "away" or "off" and "uti" meaning "to use".
So, "abuse" originally meant "to use something wrongly or improperly, or to misuse it".
In all I have come to know that the word abuse not only means overuse, but also underuse, which means if we don't use a product, concept
or idea correctly or optimally we are in a way abusing it.
Is abuse inevitable? Our best chance of avoiding abuse of anything, or any concept is to know what it was created to do, in other words to know the purpose or reason behind its creation

Society, another word we loosely use without really knowing its deepest meaning, Society is beyond a group of people that shares common interests, values and territory, Society is much more than that, society is that invisible hand that compels an individual to behave the way he/she is behaving, whether in alignment with its dictates (conforming to the rules of the society) or inspite of its dictates (deviating from the rules), which ever way individuals are a product of society

There is no denying we all live in a society, hence no matter where we are, the language we speak, the culture we practice, our belief system, we all need to have an accurate knowledge and insight, not just armchair understanding of what the society is in other not to abuse it .
The importance of understanding what the Society is, not only help us not to abuse it but also helps us to navigate social interactions , understand societal norms and values, to be aware of our environment, and also helps us to contribute meaningfully to our immediate groups, communities (virtual or physical) and to the society at large,

In subsequent post I will go into details of the importance of understanding society and society's impact on individuals.
Together we can reduce the abuse of the Society and make the most of it.

Hey @easybliss, welcome to Hive as I see you're new. I'm stopping by to drop you a few suggestions to help you navigate better on our platform.

We have different communities on Hive and we're encouraging users to post in the right community based on the topic of the post. This post for example would fit better in Hive Learners community.

OCD community is for topics that don't fit in any other community and should be used when you don't find a niche community for your post.

Here's a guide I put together to help you learn about how communities work and why you should use them -> Communities Explained - Newbie Guide. I also put together a list of communities, which is not complete, there are much more communities on Hive, but it will help you get started.

Once you posted your post in the right community, you can then cross post it to OCD community. Here's a guide about cross posting.

Please don't delete any post with the purpose of reposting it in another community as that can be considered abuse. Leave this post here, you'll get it right next time.
