Nothing makes you happier than fervently pursuing your interests. Passion drives success because it keeps you inspired to do the work you do and to do it well. If you are not passionate about your work, it is impossible for you to be satisfied with it. As a nurse midwife, I love what I do. I believe that out of all the careers I could have chosen, helping pregnant women and saving the lives of unborn children was the best one.
When I first started pursuing this career, I almost quit along the way because of financial constraints. Life was so difficult that I could hardly pay my tuition. Like I said, success is fueled by passion; mine was what got me through the tough times to become who I am today.
The fact that my work is saving lives is what makes me proud. Being the first person a newborn comes in contact with brings me so much joy. Health professionals are not God, but in the eyes of men they may appear to be because they contribute to either the preservation of life or the creation of life using their scientific knowledge. They have reason to be proud because they regularly save lives.
Each and every person who works to benefit humanity is doing an amazing job.We have security agencies that help a lot in saving or protecting lives, and those involved in farming and food production also help to provide the basic necessities for survival. We can have an endless list of professionals who are working tirelessly to make our world a better place to live.
What matters most here is not what you do, but how you do it. What really drives you into doing the work you do, is it just for money or for the love of it? In our side of the world, health workers salary may be nothing good to write home about with other work conditions not met to keep up doing a great work.Despite all of that, I think they shouldn't prevent us from doing our best. We should be concerned with life because it is so valuable. An aggrieved health worker can be very harmful to a patient.
I know one thing for sure: I should always put my clients/patients first. We call it sacrifice, no matter what is going on in my life, I have to always give my patients the best care I can. Only passion can motivate you to give your all.
