/What follows after a crush in a relationship? 💑💖💔

ENGLIS VERSION

What follows after a crush in a relationship? 💑💖💔

Falling in love is a very special and intimate feeling that we may get to experience at some point in our lives. It is a mixture of many sensations and feelings that can range from illusion, desire, attraction, caring or affection, to intimacy and love. It is a state in which we feel completely devoted to another person and want to be with them all the time. Dopamine is the main neurotransmitter involved in falling in love and is produced in the brain when you feel attracted to someone. It is responsible for the feeling of euphoria and pleasure you feel when you are in love. Interestingly this same neurotransmitter is involved in other mental processes of great euphoria and intensity, as dopamine is also one of the chemicals produced when you get high. 😱

Falling in love is usually very intense and passionate, and is characterized by being a new and unexpected feeling. It can also be quite confusing, as we find ourselves unable to think clearly or fully rationalize what we are feeling. However, falling in love is a wonderful experience worth having.

Although all people are different, in general we can say that when we are in love we tend to idealize the other person and see their virtues in an exaggerated way. For this reason, it is important to emphasize that infatuation is not love! One of the most difficult things to see is that falling in love is not necessarily an indicator that the relationship will be successful, since love is a more mature and deeper feeling that is based on trust, respect and understanding towards someone with whom you have already shared many experiences, moments and time. Love is a more long-term feeling and state, while infatuation can fade with time, after having lived the first significant experiences together.

After falling in love comes what is often referred to in these stages of a relationship as "the honeymoon", that is, a moment in which everything in the relationship is perfect and we are unable to see the other person's flaws. However, sooner or later we will progressively begin to realize the small imperfections of our partner and it is likely that some fights or arguments will arise as a result of these new differences. This does not mean that our relationship does not work, but quite the contrary: it is a moment in which we must learn to know each other better, more meaningful and accept those small discrepancies that we had not considered before. Likewise, these same "imperfections" can also motivate us to leave the relationship, which in my opinion, is healthier than waiting for a person with whom you are not compatible enough to change in order to continue in a relationship.

From here, if we really want our relationship to work in the long run we will have to work day by day to strengthen it. This means making small daily gestures to show our unconditional love: actively listening to our partner when they talk, expressing our feelings without fear of rejection, being understanding when they have problems or simply having a good time together doing what we enjoy the most.

True love requires dedication and work, but it is certainly worth fighting for. According to many researches, people who are happy with their relationships are those who have managed to overcome obstacles together and continue working day by day to keep their love alive, always in a healthy and understanding way.
