Forlorn tumbledown buildings now greet a wanderer to her abode
An abode that'd many a time made headlines in the past for raising geniuses,
Now rests desolate, in decay and with a lacklustre appearance
One can't but shed a tear for one's alma mater
How could they allow this to happen to one's beloved?
Why should she who'd raised many be made a forlorn landscape?
Who would have believed this would be her sorry end?
When all she ever did was contributing to the good of the land.
Like a mother she molded her products to become who they are today,
She gave them but the superlatives of her treasures to excel in life
The world outside mistakes them for a special breed from abroad
Not knowing that her hands made that happen here on their soil .
Now many that would've also gained what others had from her
For five months are at home, idle and frustrated with no hope in sight
This wasn't what she was conceived, created and nurtured to be
It hurts to see what's now become of a great Tower like her.
