Good morning from Uganda, hope everyone is keeping well and safe!
I have been in a holiday after busy months of working and managed to visit some of the best places with wildlife and beautiful cultures. I have been with a motivation of becoming a professional wildlife photographer for some good time and I am very happy that a step is being taken.
This brought me a thought of showing you some the photographs I took of the rare golden monkeys, hippopotamus and the Uganda kobs (one of the antelopes that are on Uganda coat of arms). Hope you will like them !
The golden monkeys are one of the rare monkeys and one gets a chance to see them only in the virunga massive of East Africa that includes Mgahinga national park in Uganda, Volcanoes national park in Rwanda and Virunga national park in Democratic republic of Congo.
The Hippopotamus is one of the mud-loving mammals that are vegetarians with the powerful jaws. These jaws are mostly used for defence, males kill male siblings to reduce competition for dominance. I took this photo in Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda near Kazinga channel.
The playing antelopes in the plains of Queen Elizabeth national park.
The Uganda kobs are one of the famous and playful antelopes of all and females undergo a gestation period of about nine months.
Males weigh about ninety three kilograms while females about sixty three kilograms.
Thank you for reading through and hope this was helpful and nice to wildlife lovers.
I wish you a nice and calm day!
