My name is Obafaiye Precious, a young Nigerian girl who is quite precious, just as the name implies.I’m a newbie here, and this is my first post, but trust me, I’m very excited to meet you all.
I was enlightened about Hive by @jjmusa2004, and I’m honoured to be a part of this platform where I can express my thoughts and ideas and also exhibit my creativity in writing.
Right from my early years, I always had something to do with writing! It all started with my unending love and passionate obsession for story books and novels, down to representing my prestigious alma mater in essay competitions,poetry competitions, and debates. Also, I was a very prominent member of the press club—not just a member, but the best reporter and editor my school ever had!😌

The beauty of a writer lies in her ability to communicate without saying a word! You know when you’re reading a story or an article and you feel like someone is actually narrating it to you in person. Yes! That’s a writer’s magic right there!
Writing has always been a major way of expressing my views, opinions, and feelings. It has always been a hobby of mine to write whenever I’m less busy (I wrote a lot of story books that never got published, though 😂) Despite the various forms of writing, I have a different type of love for poetry because it enables me to make meaning with words out of everything and anything! Poetry makes you see and feel beyond the ordinary;, it gives meaning to everything. A poet could write a poem of five stanzas, just by looking at a chair with a broken arm!
I love nature and everything embedded in it, though I don’t really like agriculture because I think it’s too stressful, and I can’t even carry a live chicken! (laughs) Regardless, I’d rather go on a trip to a waterfall, a mountain, or a cattle ranch than to go party. Don’t get me wrong, though. I love music because it’s the best form of therapy, and trust me, even the most meaningless song has a little bit of meaning! You probably never settled down enough to listen to the lyrics. (winks) Admiring nature’s gifts makes you realize there’s more to nature than meets the eye!

I hope to become a renowned writer and poet. I’m very confident that this platform will assist me in attaining my goals and also enable me to bring my writing skills to perfection and positively impact the lives of children and youths of every race across the globe.
