“Hello, I’m new here, kindly show me around” this is the second time I’ll be writing this here. I used to be very consistent with my content but one thing led to the other, I powered down my hive account and left.
Well, hello again beautiful people of Hive, it’s been a year and I’m sneaking in like a prodigal child. I am well aware that a lot of things have changed but what is life without changes? I’m here to stay and evolve so please accept me and show me around.
My name is Joyce Alarapon, a medical laboratory scientist, entrepreneur and digital creative.
I hail from a family of four, the first child of two and I’m an indigene of Akure, the capital city of Ondo state, Nigeria. Akure is a place where I was born and lived for the first 16 years of my life before I got into the university. I then came back to Akure to sort out my internship after graduation.
In my 24 years of existence on planet earth, writing has been one of my greatest hobbies and go-to skills. With writing, I’m able to express myself accurately, share my thoughts and also share knowledge.
Some of my other skills are organization, time management and critical thinking.
Growing up as a child and up till now, it has been my dream to become a great writer, entrepreneur and a medical practitioner. So, I became a Medical Laboratory Scientist and now I write just like I did while growing up but even better now.
Apart from writing in my free time, I love to dance, shoot and edit video content, cook, watch movies and eat.
I am passionate about fulfilling dreams, living comfortably and loving deeply. I’m invested in the social media space through my lifestyle channel on YouTube and my video content on Instagram and TikTok.
And if you asked me why I came back to hive , I’d tell you that my main purpose is to be in a community of like minded people, writers who are vast in their skill and willing to grow together. I also want to share my thoughts, share my experiences in life, write realistic stories, engage with others and earn in the process.
Currently, I’m in the Asaga village, Ohafia of Abia State, Nigeria to serve the country for the one year national youth service corp.
At this point, I feel like I have a lot to tell you about myself and my experiences but why not welcome me first and we’ll catch up on what I’ve been doing in life for the past one year of my leave.
Nice to meet you and I can’t wait to share my writings with you!
Attached is a picture of my beautiful self.
