Quitting Bad Habits

There are several books out there in our world today, so many information out there which seeks to get people to quit negative or bad habits that may be ruining them, their lives and that of their family or neighbors and yet still the rampage is on and things ain't getting any better for society and these individuals.

Well some get lucky and find their break through, for some that book they read would be the feather that broke the camels back, and help them get on track after countless and tries and various therapy sessions with psychologist and psychiatrist etc. But off all these things i came to learnt that there are some few things that are critical that one must have to succeed.

The first one would be discipline and the second would be determination. Yes the mind is a very powerful tool that if you do not control it, it would definitely control you, yet there are people who have been able to overcome their habits and subdue the mind, the brain and the power of dopamine and so what make you thing you can't? Well is because you probably lack discipline, at least enough to get you through.

Discipline is what would get you to get the power of the mind or brain and help you get on track and it is determination that would keep you from going back whatever habits you are running away from When you are determined enough you would not put yourself in situations that would entice you to fall. You would do your best to avoid any kind of situation that would make matters worse for you.

And by so doing you get control over, not just the body but the mind as well as your actions and gradually you get to be ok. Those reccomendations from the books would now be able to take effect as you practice gradual weaning off or withdrawal etc. But it is important that we all come to know and understand that unless we develop these two traits, it is going be quite a bumpy ride that may not yield much fruit. I wish we all the best as the weekend goes by and i hope we get to escape our bad habits.
