I got to hear about hive from my wonderful, kind-hearted friend @didiyilji; she shared with me the impact hive could have on me. Truthfully, I read a lot and I've written many stories during my secondary school days, but I never had the chance to bring myself to a community where I could be very much appreciated.
To my onboarder, @jjmusa2014, thank you so much for the love and the zeal to see people grow. I really appreciate 😊
I am from a local government where sweet potatoes is one traditional delicacies. I personally can die for tuber foods 😂 honestly, I never get tired of eating them all year round. To ease off your suspense, I am from Kwara State, Offa Local Government Area. Oh yeah, I get to answer lots of questions daily, as most people will say I look like an IGBO girl. Well, it's not all lies, my mom is from the Big Heart (Delta State) and I'll say I have a big heart too.
Wondering who this girl is? I am Kalejaiye Yetunde, and lots of people call me Nelly, which happens to be my other name. I attended the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), where I studied primary education, and later on migrated and graduated from Kogi State University Anyigba, where I bagged a B.Ed. in social studies. In all honesty, I wanted to be a lawyer, and I still want to. I have a serious facial expression at first sight, but trust me, I'm very friendly. I started my career as an educator, and I was well trained by my mom, who is also a teacher. I won't lie, it was stressful and still stressful, but at the same time, it was a wonderful experience. I've been a professional educator for 4 years now, and I enjoy staying with kids.
Along the way, I went through several educational courses; I had Orton Gillingham, graphology and Montessori trainings, just to mention a few, and I can say I'm a proud Phonetician. I had the opportunity to travel to different states as an alternate pronouncer for spelling bee in Nigeria, and I can say it was a great experience.
One of the art decorations I made for my room.
My love for art and dance is like Mount Everest; I dance to every beat I hear, and it all started in my secondary school days, when I joined many dance groups and went for many dance competitions with my crew. These are all experiences I'll never forget. Singing is one thing I don't joke with. Also, as a chorister, I've had opportunities to sing along with other people during the Kwara State Gospel Talent. I love art, and I've made many art designs that stare at me in my room. Did I tell you I make hair too? That is the love of my life. I love making hair, and guess what? I didn't learn it; most of the hairs I rock were made by myself; I have a thing for beauty; and over the years, I have made lots of wigs, and referrals keep me going. My wigs have been to counties I have never been😊.
I love the color blue, and coincidentally, most of my clothes are blue. I'm a fast learner, and I can say it has helped me a lot, the same way I got to know how to do lots of things.
"There is nothing that makes its way more directly to the soul than beauty." I'm a whole vibe, no doubt, and I hope you get to see more of me.
ALL IMAGES ARE MINE.
