Hallelujah! It is a dream come through after a very long time of delay. My mentor @princessbusayo tried all possible means to add me to this interesting and compelling platform for a while now but it seems futile. We tried all means for me to register but none wasn't going through. It was some days ago she told me again that the site is accessible through the Neoxian frontend she explained I need some Neoxag tokens (1500) to register. She was kind enough to help me with it and immediately I got registered to this wonderful platform.
After I became a member of this platform, I had another challenge. In my area, for some time now, we had an electricity breakdown, so it resulted in deprivation, we couldn't charge our gadgets, accessories and phones. We struggled and compete for charging in our next street, and with this effect, everyone was able to have a power bank to tackle the challenges. So on a faithful day, I gave my power bank to my guy whom we stay in the same hostel to assist me to charge in the next street due to my tight schedule. It was the period of his first-semester examination which he was through with it. Students were travelling home after their examinations, this guy mistakenly travelled home with the power bank.
According to him, he taught he had returned the power bank to me before he travelled home, it was a cock up and I would have to wait until his arrival the next semester in September and which would mean I will have to continue tackling the electricity challenges in my area which wouldn't enhance my participation and continuity in this platform. My beautiful and distinguished Hivians, I resist being a defeatist. My doggedness and tenacious nature kept me here.
CULTURAL BACKGROUND
I am Obanla David Abiola. I hail from Akoko Edo Local Government Area, Edo State Nigeria of the South-South part. In my country Nigeria, we have above 400 tribes of ethnicities. A few are Yorubas, Hausas, Igbos, Ibiras, Igalas, Ibibios, Ijaws, Benins, Kanuris, and others. These tribes have different, wonderful and interesting cultures, languages and beliefs, and borders are shared by these unique tribes. Patriots were able to acculturate and acclimatise with these ethnic diversities.
Their major occupation is farming and trading and they practice three major religions namely: Traditional, Christian and Islamic religions. So we learn and interact with one another, we work in the same organization and we marry irrespective of the tribes. These human activities brought tribes together to make a whole without controversies and disagreements. I am a Yoruba by tribe and one of the most populated tribes in the country, we are found mostly in the Western region and few inhibit in other parts of the country. Though my state is found in the southern region and widely shares a boundary with the Western region.
EDUCATIONAL AND FAMILY BACKGROUND
I am the fifth child of seven children from my parents; four females and three males. We were brought up by both parents and we have the privilege of acquiring an education. This allowed me to attend St. Peters primary school, lkakumo. After the completion of my primary education, I relocated to my neighbouring town where I attended Okpameri Grammar School Ibillo. Upon completion of my secondary education, I move to Akure to hustle in some organizations to save some money for my tertiary education. In Akure, I work as an assistant manager at Brother George Bee Honey Company. Thereafter, I work with Helena and Midas Hotel, Akure as a receptionist.
After my experience and hustle in these organisations, I proceeded to my tertiary education where I studied Biology and Education at Adeyemi Federal University of Education Ondo-city, Ondo state. My dear colleagues, the journey was so rough but without struggle, there is no progress and one man with courage makes a majority. @princessbusayo is my hostel mate who introduced this wonderful platform to me and joining you guys here, I believe I am welcome.
