WE ALL CAN'T BE NORMAL.

in #hive-1745783 years ago

Hi, my Hive friends. I trust this meets you well.

I'm a bit ecstatic to be writing to you again.

And the title... Don't be surprised at my choice of words.

I originally wrote this in December 2020, and I thought I should share with my Hive family, as it still quite appeals to me.

In this cosmos, we have different people with different perspectives to doing things. Ofcourse, you'd agree with me that Mr A is different from Mr B. If not anything, they can be distinguished by facial looks, character, language and so on.

We have been created by the Supreme Creator to be distinct in our ways, individually. That's if you get what I mean.

So again, I believe you'd agree with me that we all can't be the same.

Let's take a sneak peak into an imaginary world. Assume that about 90% of the population of people residing in this continent are just like you. Wouldn't life be boring itself?

We should really embrace this gift of variety and use it to our advantage.

Often, people have stereotyped their daily activities into doing the norm only and not trying out something NEW. As we are different individuals, we also have different gifts, potentials and talents.

You aren't even, in the least, aware of what you're capable of doing yet, until you dare to be AB-normal. Simply put, above normal.

The fear of stepping out of the USUAL has incapacitated some heavily loaded persons and has made them less of who they actually are. And I mentioned in my last writ, fear is paralytic!

I learnt recently that, fear is a normal feeling and it can't go away. You can only learn to be courageous. Courage is going through life situations regardless, despite being afraid. When you do it afraid, you've just climbed another milestone of success.

So my friend, just do it afraid. I celebrate your courage.

Zero the this-is-how-it-is-done mentality and adopt the which-other-way-can-it-be-done notion.

Don't allow people put you into the box of custom. Breach that norm! Explore! Start that new thing! Develop that idea that has been flying around in your head! Discover your own recipe! Build that app!

I'm sure the communities here on Hive resulted from a discomfort of normality.

It might not make sense at first, but trust me eventually it will.

It might seem like nonsense, do not mind. Just push to be different.

Before now, I've been worried that I'm somewhat weird. But you know, now I've learnt to appreciate my difference.

That's why I call myself a faith writer. (winks)

It is okay to be weird. Be uncomfortable with the normal.

Many of our ancient heroes and old inventors didn't discover and build those things that we now enjoy by just being normal.

Thomas Edison's invention didn't make sense until after about a thousand trials.
We still enjoy electricity till date. All thanks to radical Thomas who didn't give up and pulled off his unconventional idea to light up the world.

We will have many more inventions when we eventually step out of the box of the NORMAL.

I hope to hear from you. What do you think?

Thank you for reading. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio!

This is a very motivational post! I do like variety and there’s beauty in being different and knowing people who are far different from yourself. Fear is definitely something that’s hard to escape but as you have stated it’s gonna take some courage to achieve goals and take chances.

This type of content would fit well on the Self Improvement Community. When you have the time please take a look at their About section.
