I have been on hive for a while and I’ll be two years old by April, I guess. I have yet to find another platform which is this interesting. It has a community that speaks to several life style, profession, reasoning, talents and so much more.
The platform just has a place for everyone. It is like a virtual society for all regardless of age, race, religion, culture or even language (as long as you have a good English translator).
I am happy to be a Hiveian and I guess a lot of people are as happy as I am. One of the fears I had when I joined hive was the challenge of ease of use. I am familiar with coding but not really good at it.
I thought hive will require some out-of-the-world programming knowledge. Although there are a few codes to make one’s write up compliant and probably presentable, I still believe anyone can easily navigate their way through hive.
Asides from the ease of use, when I got familiar with posting via different frontends, I thought there will be need to unlearn and re-learn like people always say.
I later found out that frontends are actually similar and posting via them is as easy as learning alphabets. I have seen @inleo @cinetv and @neoxian frontends and they are very easy to navigate.
Finally, I love the encouragement on the platform including the rules put in place to guide the communities such that every post has its requirements.
In a country where there is no rule, there is no sin and anything goes, this is not the case on this platform. Yet there is freedom of expression to a reasonable extent.
Many interesting communities here @theinkwell for fiction and non-fiction writers, @vibes for talented singers/musicians, @inleo for money-related matters other related prompts, @cinetv for movie reviews and so many others like @hivenaija, @thoughtfuldailyposts, @freecompliments, @news&views, @oliodibalena and countless others.
So many things I love about hive and I think everyone on the platform can relate.
