In my recent trip to Haridwar, Uttarakhand, I stumbled upon this fascinating shop that felt like a treasure trove from the past.
A shop with a collection of antique coins and various intriguing items. The kind of place that sparks curiosity in anyone who walks through or pass by this small shop.
As I explored the shop, my eyes caught a glimpse of a mesmerizing array of old Indian coins, some dating back to the '90s and even earlier. There were these tiny wonders like 25 paise and 50 paise coins, each holding a piece of history in its own right. Some coins were so unique that I did not even recognize them.
What struck me the most was a collection that included the 500-rupee notes from the era before demonetization in India. It was like finding a piece of nostalgia neatly preserved under glass.
There were also some old currencies of other countries also.
The shopkeeper, with a warm smile, shared insights about each coin and note, turning this visit into a delightful journey through India's monetary history.
And so, my trip to Haridwar became more than just a spiritual retreat – it became a bridge between the past and the present, all thanks to a small shop that held a wealth of memories in the form of antique coins and collectibles.
Thank you for your visit.
