Today I decided to explore Lancok Forest, a place I have never visited before. I don't know what I'll find in there, but that's what makes this trip even more interesting. With enthusiasm, I started my journey through quite challenging rocky roads. This road leads into the forest, further away from the settlement.
As soon as you enter the trail, the atmosphere changes drastically. The air feels fresher with the distinctive aroma of damp earth and leaves. Sunlight filtering through the gaps in the trees creates beautiful shadows along the road. I could hear the sound of birds singing from a distance, creating a natural harmony that was so calming.
After walking for a while, I found a small river flowing clearly between the rocks. The sound of gurgling water combined with the rustle of the wind blowing through the leaves made me stop for a moment to enjoy the atmosphere. I also took out my camera to capture the beauty of this river.
While I was taking photos, my eyes fell on something on the river bank—a beautiful butterfly with dark wings and a beautiful blue pattern.
However, there is something strange about this butterfly. He seemed to stay in place and not fly. I approached slowly so as not to disturb him. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the butterfly was probably having a hard time. It could be that his wings are wet or maybe they are exposed to dew so he can't flap his wings as usual.
I also took several photos while trying to help him carefully. I let it perch on my finger to let the wings dry out a bit. After a while, the butterfly began to move its wings slowly. I raised my hand higher, and within seconds, he finally managed to fly back into the air. This moment was very memorable for me—seeing a butterfly that initially seemed helpless finally return to its habitat was an extraordinary feeling.
After that incident, I continued exploring around the river. Not long after, I saw a dragonfly with a black and bright red body color. This dragonfly is perched on the tip of a curved leaf, as if resting. I immediately immortalized it in several shots.
The beauty of these little creatures is truly amazing. Sometimes, we don't realize how many incredible details there are in nature if we don't see them up close. With my macro camera, I can see the color pattern and eye shape of this dragonfly very clearly.
After I was satisfied taking photos, I sat for a moment on the river bank, enjoying the tranquility offered by this forest. The atmosphere is so peaceful, far from the noise of the city. There is only the sound of water, birds and insects calling. I took a deep breath, feeling how truly extraordinary nature was.
Every trip to nature always brings unexpected surprises. Today, I not only discovered a beautiful river, but also had the opportunity to help a butterfly and capture the beauty of a dragonfly. Lancok Forest truly holds amazing wonders.
I can't wait to go back exploring and see what else I can find on my next trip.
