Now is the time when these cute little animals are actively stocking up on food, preparing for the cold winter.
This is very important, because how hard and how much they work determines whether they survive the long cold winter or not. They hibernate around the beginning to middle of October, depending on the weather. And this hibernation lasts until mid-April.
In the middle of winter they sometimes wake up to recover and get some food. For this purpose they have separate rooms in their dwellings, and even more than one.
