The 8 + 8 + 8 Rule and how it has Impacted me.

Hello fellow hivians, hope all is well today. I just came over an eye opening discipline. Which has made me want to change my life or at least my routine of choices of things to do on the daily basis. This discipline at first might sound like any of the other "wack" discipline that have been around buh trust me it make the perfect of sense. This discipline or rule is called the ** The 8 + 8 + 8 rule.** This rule was said to be created by a social reformer named Robert Owen who was credited as the first person to articulate this rule by calling for “eight hours labor, eight hours recreation, and eight hours rest” for workers in the early 19th century.

The 8 + 8 +8 rule aims to created a good balance sheet of one's own life by dividing the 24 hours a day in a thrid which is where the 8, 8, and 8 come from. So for one to to be able to have a good balance sheet of life one needs to first of all divide their thier time into a third and then utilizing each third effectively by using the first third of your day to focus of doing some hard work, the second third for a good and sound sleep and the last third for yourself and those around you. This doesn't necessarily have to be in a sequence but rather make sure at the end of the day the time you spent doing these daily routines basically sums up to this rule. This to me, makes the perfect of sense.

The First 8 hours should be spent on hard work, this applies to anybody be it someone working, or someone learning a trade, or someone doing something of necessity. These all comes down to the hard side of the first 8 hour of the rule.

The second 8 hours basically should be used for a good shut eye, to make sure the the mind and body is refreshed and ready to handle anything without stress.

Now with this other 8 hours of the day, one need to use them to work on something called the 3Fs, 3Hs, and 3Ss. These 3 has nothing to do with time, the 3Fs represents Family, Friends, and Faith. The 3Hs also represents Health, Hygiene, and Hobby. Finally the 3Ss represents Soul, service, and smile. This implies that with the third 8 hours one should find balance to practice the 3Fs, 3Hs, and the 3Ss.

I used to do this routine and activities all day everyday, as a matter of fact i think we all do this this every day. But once i realised it in this rule, i started to actually feel like am doing something with my life. For examples, i used to do work hin half and postponing to the next day and the other and so forth buh once i decided to stick to this rule once i start something i make sure that i spend the exact needed time on which and if I'm not done I'll leave it for the next day and when I'm done i continue to something new the next day. So i start to see progress at my work side and thus, same appky to any other part of my routine.
I would urge the people try to utilize this rule as it is very impactive and very useful.
