As someone who loves to play video games, I didn’t even think twice before accepting to go on a date with this person who was so good at it. I really thought we were going to the games pavilion at the mall. I was so excited and hyped because I had learned a thing or two to make sure I score him nothing below 3 in Fifa.
At that time, he had already asked me to be his girlfriend so I was going to use the 3 goals to spell yes. Nobody should say Ei Abena. Anyway, the location he gave me was the beach. I was super excited because I thought he was being romantic since I love the beach. Right at the entrance, I saw him with two of his friends. I didn’t understand what was going on because what are your friends doing on a date between you and I?
The moment I sat down and saw this guy’s shoe, hmm guys! I decided to run away only to realize I didn’t bring my bag or my purse. It happened that I was so happy when I got his call that I let my brother drop me off so nothing came to mind to take money or anything, not even my phone. I was now figuring out how I would even go back home.
I used his phone to call my brother and it didn’t go through. I was so angry because just the one time that I need you in my life, you’re no where to be found? After some minutes, they said they wanted to go to Atlantic hotel to take pictures. I was now confused if these were ladies in guy’s bodies or what? Guess what? I followed them, don’t laugh! I followed them thinking right after that, they would order me a ride so I could go back home. Jokes on me!
I was told were going to take a stroll to the main junction which was about 30 minutes away by foot. 30 minutes stroll? Just tell me you want to burn the small calories I have. I was so angry at myself for forgetting my phone and my purse. I was just praying my brother’s number would go through and then miraculously it did. He asked me to wait at wherever I was and I did. After he picked me up, I didn’t dare to narrate what happened because that would mean a roar of laughter and I just wasn’t in the mood for it.
I’m glad that day happened because ever since that day, I never forget anything when I’m going on a date. I also make sure whatever amount of money I have on me can pay for about 7 people. Just to avoid embarrassment.
