AM I A NIGHT OWL OR A MORNING LARK?...

Sleep is one of the most essential patterns for both physical and mental wellbeing. Our bodies and minds are the very engines around which all activities revolve. Such activities could be physical or mental, regardless of the form it takes or the mode it comes in. The body gets tired taking on all the requirements expected of it and sleep, helps to relax, refresh, revitalize and energize it for another cycle of activities. It again helps to reboot the brain and free it off all kinds of stress.
On a reverse side, sleep deprivation has negative impact on our actions and reactions. It makes one less productive and crankier. Forgetfulness will be a constant factor and making rational decisions are equally going to be impaired.

Having touched on sleep and it details, my focus now lies more on the sleep pattern. We have people who are early sleepers and risers and those that are night folks, sleep late and sleep in as well. It has been observed that, the early sleepers also called early birds, are more active and productive during the day time than at night. While on the other hand, late sleepers, also called night owls, are more active and productive during night time.

Before I was old enough to understand that there was a thing such as early birds and night owls, I just knew I loved nightfall. I have always been a night person for as long as I can remember. On a typical day, the earliest time I go to bed is around 11pm, regardless of it being a working day or over the weekend, my earliest is 11pm. Sometimes I could sleep after 1am or 2am. If the next day happens to be a working day, I wake around 4am and start preparing for work. Well, in some instances I would have to drag myself up from the bed to be able to execute my routines before work.

At work, this doesn’t have any negative influences on my productivity as I executive my duties required of me, as professionally as possible. On a weekend provided I happen to not go anywhere, I sleep around 2am and 3am, but unlike a working day where duty demands of me to wake up early, I sleep in. ***When I wake up after sleeping in, over the weekend, and having the sun scorchingly hostile, sometimes I feel reluctant going on about chores. But, during evenings, I can wash up about ten cows if need be and still feel very much active(laughs). ***

Nighttime has always been my favorite part of the day; it brings with it a soothing effect and a different kind of excitement daytime can’t give me. It’s only natural I am a night owl.

Sort:

Ehhh after all that you wake up at 4am to drag yourself to work?
Come for your crown sis😂
Interesting, I mean being a night owl is nice but the consequences especially if you have things to do the next day is really crazy

I just can't help it. Lol

Such a beautiful writeup and I fell in love with every single word. Thanks for this today and I hope to see more each day, @adjapomah-i

Feedback from the April Hive Power Up Day

It’s really lovely to know that with all of that, you don’t have any negative influence on your work duties because truly, that’s the second most important thing apart from your health.

True, our health matters so does our jobs. I'm thankful my duties don't get affected.

You can wash up about ten cows and still be active 😀😀
This part got me...
Once it's 1am I can't sleep again till around 4 or 5 am
I thought I was the only one on this.

😁😁😁😁 sometimes I tell myself I'd put a stop to it and draw a different schedule for my sleep, but trust me, it doesn't work.
